| Balkan Buro is an organization of young cultural entrepreneurs based in Amsterdam. We aim to bring South-East and West European cultures closer to each other through collaboration with cultural organizations in the Balkan region.
The art scene in Western Europe and the Balkans is a lively, young and refreshing group of people that deserves a voice. Furthermore, art is an essential tool of communication. A movie, image, photo, painting, song, or choreography can transcend all borders and touch deeper human levels.
Balkan cinema and art deserve a cross-border infrastructure; a social network connected to Western European artists, cultural entrepreneurs and funds that allow all likeminded to share information and expertise and engage in collaboration. This is what Balkan Buro reaches out for through organization of cultural manifestations with its partner organizations in the region.
